On Thursday evening, “Love Island” and “Traitors” star Maura Higgins is partnering with eBay Live to auction a series of Hermès Birkin and Kelly bags.
This team-up is part of eBay’s series of “48 Hours of Drops” — a two-day live event on Thursday and Friday with continued auctions of a series of coveted items spanning pre-loved fashion and collectibles.
In partnership with eBay seller Bolt Luxury, Higgins will engage with fans via livestream to showcase the Hermès bags up for auction. Some notable pieces being auctioned include a 2017 Hermès Bleu Nuit Togo Birkin 25 with gold hardware, a 2020 Hermès Gold Togo Birkin 30 with Palladium hardware, a 2022 Hermès Noir Togo/Lizard Touch Kelly 25 with gold hardware and a 2025 Hermès Rose Mexico Togo Kelly 25 with palladium hardware.

“If you’re into finding great fashion, then you’re into eBay — you can find unreal value and genuinely amazing pre-loved pieces you wouldn’t come across anywhere else,” Higgins told WWD in an interview. “And with eBay Live, there’s even more to love because you’re getting the same incredible, authentic pieces but with the entertainment and sense of community that comes from a livestream. I’d always dreamed of owning a Birkin, and with starting prices at such an accessible point of entry, I can’t wait for someone watching to get that chance, too.”
Higgins was given a burgundy Hermès Birkin 30 after fellow contestant and winner of season four, Rob Rausch, gave her one as an apology after he betrayed her and revealed himself to be a traitor on the finale of the show.
Beyond the burgundy Birkin, Higgins shared that her favorite picks from the upcoming livestream include rare finds such as the 2025 Rose Mexico Togo Kelly as a collector’s item or classic everyday pieces like the 2022 Noir Togo/Lizard Kelly.
As a fan of the secondhand market, Higgins resonates with the idea of “passing something on when [she’s] ready to part with it and allowing someone else to enjoy it.” And moreover, she sees buying items in the pre-loved market allows for mindfulness without compromising on her style.
Her favorite brands to shop include Hermès, Chanel and Dior, which she said are her three tried and true classic brands that stand the test of time.
“I also love having a scroll and discovering something unexpected, like a distinctive vintage piece that no one else has or a brand that is having a resurgence. EBay has been one of my secret weapons for years — it’s where I’ve found some of my favorite looks.”
With a close relationship to fashion, Higgins said that oftentimes “getting into luxury can sometimes feel a bit intimidating,” but the format of eBay Live makes it more “approachable and fun.” She said that this livestream allows for connection with the seller and host to be part of the moment in real time and bring a sense of “community and excitement to the fashion experience, while giving more confidence about buying at the same time.”
Higgins will be livestreaming with eBay on Thursday at 4 p.m. On Friday, La La Anthony will host a livestream bidding at 8 p.m. with a selection of pieces from her closet such as Versace, Manolo Blahnik, Gucci and The Row.
In other eBay news, the brand launched its “The NYC Edit” featuring curated selections and insights from the tastemakers like Dara Allen, Astin Earle, Emilia Petrarca, Jalil Johnson and Owen Thiele. The ten cultural voices, stylists and creators living in New York are selling and buying a curated selection of hard-to-snag pieces and enduring staples alike on the platform, from Tom Ford’s Gucci and 2000s Prada to Ralph Lauren and L.L.Bean.
The digital storefronts online launch on Thursday to showcase the editorial guide with a market in April set to open for style traders to swap out pieces with the curators.
