For more than 45 years, Hublot has remained a boundary-pusher in the world of watches — with its industry-disrupting gold and rubber timepieces. At the 2026 Watches and Wonders, the company is unveiling the Big Bang Reloaded, a rework of the Big Bang Unico.
Julien Tornare, chief executive officer of Hublot, told Fairchild Studio that following the 20th anniversary celebration of the Big Bang last year, the company continued to double down on evolving the model. He said the mastery of Hublot in-house movements remains paramount in making its timepieces more visually impactful — and have them resonate with both collectors and enthusiasts alike.
This redesign features a 44mm size with five different interpretations. Each new model includes materials that celebrate anniversaries this year and what makes the brand stand out in the industry. The five new editions are titanium ceramic, all black, blue ceramic, dark green ceramic and magic gold.
“In this reloaded vision, the Unico movement becomes the main attraction,” said Tornare. “Color, contrast and architecture amplify the chronograph’s unique construction, with the dial-side column wheel and integrated flyback designed to be more visible than ever.”
Upgrades to the Big Bang over the years include a modular base caliber and fully integrated movement into the watches. These re-engineerings provide consumers with high-performance chronographs that are trimmed to fit into multiple cases.
Taking inspiration from the original 2005 model with its closed dial, the introduction of the Big Bang Original featured the Unico caliber earlier this year. Tornare said that it is a turning point in the company’s history, with its in-house caliber now powering the entire Big Bang collection. And the natural next step for Hublot was to re-engineer the Big Bang Unico itself.
“The Big Bang Reloaded embodies Hublot’s growth as a real manufacturer and the evolution of the Big Bang collection and Unico movement over time. First launched in 2010, just a year after the debut of Hublot’s manufacture, the Unico movement has been continuously reinterpreted, with reworked components, optimized architecture, refined proportions and enhanced performance,” concluded Tornare.
