Founded in 1870, Brazilian beauty brand Granado has successfully made Brazilian perfumery an international phenomenon for fragrance lovers across Europe and the U.S. Known for being Brazil’s most traditional perfumery, Granado has continued to evolve its offerings with an extensive collection of modern and sustainable lifestyle fragrances.
This year, Granado is kicking off the summer season by launching three new fragrances, all created by renowned master perfumer Quentin Bisch. The new offerings include the Citrus Brasilis, the Rosa Sublime and the Apotecário fragrance. Each introduces the consumer to a unique olfactory journey.
The first to launch is the Citrus Brasilis fragrance, a floral citrus musk that joins Granado’s vibrant perfume portfolio. Designed to “exude effervescence and freshness from start to finish, the scent taps into the seasonal shift from spring to summer with a story focused on citrus stretching back to the brand’s inception.” Nearly 150 years ago, the company’s founder, José Antonio Coxito Granado, planted an orchard of citrus trees which not only created an uplifting citrus scent but provided plants to produce remedies and other cosmetics.
Bisch describes the Citrus Brasilis olfactory journey as “evolving and captivating,” adding that the “citrus notes provide a vibrant burst that transitions seamlessly into a dynamic interplay between bright top notes and warm, rich base notes.” The citrusy, musky and floral fragrance, he said, “is perfect for those who appreciate uplifting scents with a subtle sensuality. Both complex and versatile, it effortlessly suits a variety of occasions.”
Launching in July, the Rosa Sublime fragrance pays tribute to the rose, one of the most emblematic flowers in perfumery. The story told through the fragrance taps into a deep emotional connection that aims to transcend generations and cultures, celebrating strength, elegance and the delicacy of femininity.
For Rosa Sublime, Sissi Freeman, Granado’s marketing and sales director, said that the fragrance is Granado’s way of “eternalizing the meaning of the rose – a universal symbol of affection, resilience and femininity.” It is a creation designed to “envelop and inspire, with a scent that is both powerful and comforting.”
Bringing his own influence into the olfactory journey, Bisch explained that for him, roses have a particularly special meaning. “They were abundant in my mother’s garden in France, a precious treasure that filled my childhood with its enchanting beauty and fragrance. Each flower reminds me of the love and care she dedicated to her garden, making the scent of roses not just a note in a perfume, but a sincere connection to my memories and the warmth of my home and my childhood.”
To close out the summer Granado’s Apotecário fragrance will launch in September, offering a blend of heritage and contemporary sophistication. Designed to pay homage, the scent is inspired by Granado’s history and the mysterious, welcoming atmosphere of traditional apothecaries and reviving century-old legacy with intensity, elegance and freshness.
“Apotecário is a celebration of Granado’s history and the botanical spirit that has always guided us,” said Freeman. “We wanted a fragrance that reflected this heritage with sophistication, comfort and sensuality, while also having a strong presence to stand out today.” The Citrus Brasilis, the Rosa Sublime and the Apotecário fragrance will each be available at Granado’s stores and on the brand’s website.
