Artis, the luxurious line of makeup brushes that launched in May, is growing at a rapid rate.
From Jan. 14 until Jan. 21, Artis will be featured at Neiman Marcus’ Tools Event. There, it will launch an exclusive collection called Fluenta, which means flowing water in Latin.
“The brushes were designed in a flowing shape,” said Jeremy Adelman, Artis’ managing partner. “The metallized and matte black finish paired with the elongated neck provides fluidity in the design, [offering] the consumer more control and flexibility when the brush is in their hand.”
Following Net-a-porter, Neiman Marcus is the second retailer to pick up the brand.
“Part of why we are expanding quickly is because of the sheer demand in the marketplace,” Adelman said. “Makeup brushes should be lifestyle objects that reflect an individual’s style and identity. Just like consumers have more than one purse or pair of shoes, people will want to have more than one Artis brush collection.”
The line, which is priced from $36 for the smallest sized brush to $400 for a set of nine, will be sold on neimanmarcus.com and in-store in mid-February.
Although Adelman declined to comment on sales, industry sources estimate Artis could do $750,000 in its first year at Neiman Marcus.
“Our goal in beauty at Neiman Marcus is to offer our clients the most innovative and technologically advanced products that deliver results,” said Kelly St. John, vice president divisional merchandise manager of beauty, at Neiman Marcus. “We know our clients will appreciate the unconventional application that gives your makeup an airbrushed look.”
