All eyes were on Bethenny Frankel as she strode down the runway at Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s annual Miami Swim Week presentation on Saturday. The 54-year-old walked in three looks: a cheetah-print one-piece swimsuit, a pink and black polka dot bikini with a black sheer sarong and a western-inspired denim two-piece teamed with a cowboy hat.
Her hair, which is typically dyed black, was lightened with soft shades of brown and honey-colored blond highlights. Extensions were put in to add texture to her sleek and shiny fashion, and even her shimmery gold makeup popped against the busy bathing suits. Frankel’s skin was bronzed, and her body was undeniably toned. Her secret: body sculpting treatments, daily walks and IV drips.
The three body sculpting treatments included a noninvasive, muscle-stimulating device designed to tone and sculpt muscles throughout the body. Treatments, which typically last around 15 minutes, can be personalized and include three unique modes. The technology utilizes Multi-Directional Stimulation (MDS).
Some treatments generate results after only six sessions. However, Frankel isn’t certain she saw a major difference after her sessions. In fact, she told WWD her toned body is the result of a number of things.
“Everyone keeps asking what my secret was for Sports Illustrated Swim Week, and honestly — it’s walking 6,000 to 10,000 steps when I can. I go weeks and months without it but summertime is when I’m fairly consistent. I don’t believe in extreme exercise but everyone’s body is different,” she said in an email statement.
“Leading up to the show, I focused on sleep, massage, and clean eating — not to lose weight, but to feel clear, energized, and balanced. In fact, I gained weight as my body was likely confused. I’m not sure if I believe that lymphatic massage debloats as I tried a few sessions, but didn’t notice any difference,” Frankel admitted.
“I also tried three sessions of a body tightening treatment as an introduction, but I’m not sure how much of a physical difference it made. My team and I believe it was nominal but it made me feel intentional and I think consistency would make those treatments work,” she said.
On TikTok, Frankel thanked the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion for giving her skin its added shine during the show, specifically shade 904 Deep Glow.
Frankel’s appearance on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit catwalk spawned an internet frenzy with an increase in interest for the former “Real Housewives of New York” star’s sculpting secret and her famed supermodel diet. A simple search for Frankel in TikTok generates a slew of search terms, including “Bethenny Frankel runway” and “Bethenny Frankel snacks.”
For months, the internet personality has contributed to her new supermodel recipe series, sharing easy recipes for healthy and high protein breakfasts, lunches and mid-day bites. But it wasn’t until she made her runway debut when people online collectively agreed to start paying attention to her food posts, several of which admitted they’ve only now been swayed to give her snacks a taste after seeing her walk.
