Yigal Azrouel’s Surfer Girl

Leonardo Manetti of Bumble and bumble styled the hair for the Yigal Azrouël collection with undone, side ponytails, which were collected and fastened with pieces of rope — a detail Manetti said married with items in Azrouël’s spring 2008 effort. Inspiration was borrowed from an unkempt surfer girl, Manetti said. Bumble and bumble Tonic helped achieve the undone look.

Christian McCulloch for MAC Cosmetics did the makeup, which was sun-kissed and glowing with peach and gold hues. Zoom Lash black mascara was used on upper lashes; Face and Body Foundation helped get a sheer glow; Gold Mode Pigment mixed with Senegal Eye Shadow was used on eyes; Plum Perfect Lip Conditioner was applied to lips, and a pale yellow liner help accentuate inner eyelids.
