Paul Smith Beauty: Clear and Fresh

Barely there makeup, a recurring theme backstage at London Fashion Week, made another appearance at Paul Smith on Tuesday.

“It’s natural, clear and fresh,” said makeup artist Petros Petrohilos of the look. “The focus is on skin.” To achieve a dewy finish, he sparingly dabbed concealer where needed and applied a smidgen of MAC Face and Body Foundation, followed by a light dusting of translucent powder. “The skin is really important,” Petrohilos added. “I don’t want it to be at all cakey.”

Eugene Souleiman took a similar tack with hair. Eschewing all product except for shampoo, hair was simply washed and left to dry naturally before being parted to one side and allowed to drape across the forehead. “Everything about it is very easy,” said Souleiman.
