Basket Weaving with De La Renta

At the Oscar De La Renta show Monday afternoon, Pat McGrath created a smoky eye on very natural and healthy looking skin. “Oscar wanted a nude mouth and smoky eyes,” said McGrath. “I also added a little bronze and gold on the cheekbones.” To create the look, McGrath used Max Factor’s Coco Crazy eye shadows, which included shades of dark brown, bronze and coffee. On top, she used Make Up For Ever’s 90930 bronze shade with a little shimmer. On the cheeks, she used Max Factor’s new Colorgenius Blush along with a golden tint on top.

For hair, Orlando Pita pulled it back into a ponytail, dividing it into two sections and weaving them together like a rope. He then twirled the hair around and pinned it into a bun. “It’s almost like basket weaving,” said Pita. “It’s a little higher, cleaner than previous years and there are no bits sticking out.”On the nails, Jin Soon Choi used MAC Cosmetics Cream Butter polish to create a “clean, elegant look.”
