A woman attending a romantic ball in Venice inspired the beauty look at Alberta Ferretti. Makeup artist Tom Pecheux focused on the eyes to create a romantic look which was feminine and strong at the same time.
A black track highlighted the eyelids and then a wash of golden powder was dropped right into the corner of the eyes. But the unexpected color was the red in the center of the eyelid.
Lips were kept neutral with a little bit of concealer and eyebrows were kept natural, too. “If they need it we just brushed them a little bit,” Pecheux explained.
Having a smoky eye, skin needed to be kept fresh. Using MAC Cosmetics, the skin was smoothed with a layer of MAC Studio Waterweight foundation. This product mimics skin so that it looks natural and kind of transparent.
To enhance the cheeks, the makeup artist used a little bit of sculpting powder, and the cheeks were highlighted in Beaming Blush.
A nude look was used on fingernails as well.
As the concept is about being a woman in Venice going to a ball, hairstylist Guido Palau crafted it using Redken Wind Blown 05 to texturize it and emphasize “a beautiful romantic braid.”
