At Issa, Miami-Meets-Marrakech

At Issa, hairstylist Malcolm Edwards, working with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.art, was aiming for a sophisticated, if slightly undone look. “She’s a gorgeous, chic woman,” he said of his inspiration. “She’s played sport, had sex and now she’s going to a cocktail.”

To create the coif, Edwards applied L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.art Fix Design and Full Volume Extra mousse at the roots to smooth hair back from the face. He then used Pli, a setting lotion, on the ends before applying Hot Style Constructor to protect hair before tonging. Hair was then secured in twists to create waves. When released from the twists, lengths were sprayed with Air Fix hair spray and, at the last minute, a hint of Sublime Shine was added.

Charlotte Tilbury said makeup was meant to have a Miami-meets-Marrakech vibe, noting Ursula Andress and Talitha Getty were among inspirations. St. Tropez tanning products gave skin a sun-kissed glow, while MAC Clear Gloss was used to accent cheekbones and MAC Blushcreme in Cherche and Pleasureful added color to cheeks. To create a “dewy, glossy eye,” Tilbury blended three Stila shadows in gold and bronze shades, with a hint worn also under the eye. Lips were finished with MAC Lip Conditioner.
