LONDON — The British luxury men’s label Dunhill, part of the Richemont Group, has signed an exclusive license agreement with De Rigo Vision SpA for the design, production and global distribution of Dunhill’s optical and sunglasses collection.
The first line will launch in early 2016 and include some of the sunglasses that models wore as part of Dunhill’s spring 2016 collection in London in June. The line will be sold at select opticians and department stores globally, and at Dunhill boutiques.
Fabrizio Cardinali, chief executive officer of Dunhill, commented that De Rigo’s “understanding of our business in terms of aesthetics, impeccable quality and innovation, perfectly combines the values of our two companies.”
Michele Aracri, managing director of De Rigo Vision, added: “We will use De Rigo’s expertise to develop an eyewear collection reflecting the brand’s commitment to quality and heritage with a contemporary sophistication.”
