Although it can seem like there are never-ending seasons for retailers and editors alike, the pre-fall collections are no longer just a commercial endeavor that rounds out the excitement of the main runway seasons. For pre-fall 2016, there were plenty of innovative and exciting offerings such as flat slides, high vamp pumps and day bags detailed with graphic stripes and appliqués — there’s even a whimsical robot motif scheduled to hit the selling floor in late June.
