Beyoncé

Beyoncé is a singer, songwriter, actress and businesswoman born on Sept. 4, 1981, in Houston. She first debuted on the music scene as the lead singer of ’90s girl group Destiny’s Child (which also included Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett and Latavia Roberson as a member). In 2003, Beyoncé embarked on her solo career, releasing her debut album “Dangerously in Love,” which encompassed the high-tempo hit “Crazy in Love” featuring her now-husband Jay-Z.

Since then, the songstress has secured acting roles in “Dreamgirls,” Disney’s “The Lion King” and “Cadillac Records,” and released some of the most popular women-centered anthems, including “Irreplaceable,” “Run the World (Girls)” and “Single Ladies.” Over her long career, Beyoncé has risen to become one of the highest-selling music artists in history, becoming the most decorated Grammy winner of all time.

Beyoncé has also extended her passion and influence to the fashion and beauty industry. From 2006 to 2012, the singer, in partnership with her hairdresser and mother-turned-stylist Tina Knowles, ran House of Deréon, a Y2K womenswear line. In 2010, the songstress ventured into the fragrance market with Heat, which was followed by 14 more perfumes. In addition, Beyoncé has collaborated with several high-profile brands on exclusive collections and collaborations, with her list of A-list partnerships including soft drink company Pepsi Co., beauty company L’Oréal and luxury jeweler giant Tiffany & Co.

In 2016, she debuted the athleisure line Ivy Park at Topshop, before ending that partnership and reintroducing the line with Adidas in 2018. Beyoncé and Adidas mutually parted ways in 2023, with the final drop being “Ivy Park Noir,” a collection of all-black swimwear, clothing and accessories.

For her 2023 “Renaissance World Tour,”  Beyoncé partnered with Parisian fashion house Balmain to co-create a couture collection in March. Helmed by the brand’s creative director Olivier Rousteing, the rollout featured one look inspired by each track of the house album. The tour holds the title as the highest-grossing tour by a female artist with over $460 million in revenue.

She is also venturing back into the fragrance business, with “Cé Noir.”
