Now in its second Paris presentation, White Mountaineering is focused on outdoor and military-inspired clothing, all done with a subtle fashion sensibility and attention to utilitarian technical details. For spring, the collection is getting a boost, literally, as the collaboration with Adidas for sneakers last season has now blossomed into a full range of clothing based on the Adidas Originals archive. But designer Yosuke Aizawa didn’t work any retro vibe, instead developing a collection based on running gear in kaleidoscopic patterns in different shades of gray and icy and navy blues, the iconic three bands used as a graphic motif. The new line blended perfectly within White Mountaineering’s extensive collection, which plays with its own motifs, such as a black and white outline camouflage, allover flower motifs printed on different fabrics or the totemic animal of the season: a white buffalo on graphic navy shirts, bombers and T-shirts. All the looks were finished with the new Adidas sneaker designed on the boost technology sole.
