Tuesday’s shows were rounded out by Narciso Rodriguez’s 8 p.m. presentation, which had his longtime friend Claire Danes in the front row to take in his offerings for fall.
“He’s one of my dear friends, I’ve known him since I was 16,” Danes said before the show.”He’s so smart, and he really understands how clothes work on a female form. I like his rigor and his imagination and his playfulness and sense of proportion. He allows me to be who I want to be in sartorial form.”
When asked to describe her own style, Danes simply answered, “His!”
The “Homeland” actress most recently departed from her serious role as Carrie Mathison and had an arc on Aziz Ansari’s Netflix show “Master of None.” “It was fun to do something a little less dramatically hysterical from ‘Homeland,'” Danes said.
