FASHION FOCUS: Monocle magazine has appointed Daphné Hézard fashion director.
Based in Paris, Hézard has been working as Monocle’s contributing fashion editor since May 2014.
She replaces Tokyo-based Akio Hasegawa, who served as fashion director from January to December 2014. He succeeded Takeharu Sato.
Hézard has previously been associated with Harper’s Bazaar France, which has yet to be launched. Prior to that, she worked as Jalouse’s editor in chief and for L’Officiel.
Hézard joins Monocle fashion markets editor Kyoko Tamoto and design editor Tom Morris.
Monocle, which is based in London, said it plans on bolstering its fashion coverage this year with bigger biannual style directory and annual retail awards supplements, which are both inserts.
