L’Oréal Paris has named Anne Talley to the position of senior vice president of marketing, overseeing marketing and U.S. print and broadcast ad strategies for the division’s color cosmetics, skin care, hair care and hair color brands. Talley will report to Carol Hamilton, president of L’Oréal Paris, a division of L’Oréal USA.
Talley most recently served as vice president of marketing, cosmetics, for L’Oréal Paris. She replaces Rob Robillard, who is joining the Kiehl’s division of L’Oréal USA. Both promotions become effective Oct. 1.
Talley joined L’Oréal Paris in January 2005 from Maybelline New York, another division within L’Oréal USA. According to a L’Oréal spokesman, L’Oréal Paris now ranks number three in cosmetics, overtaking Revlon in the fourth quarter of last year, and is the number-one premium-priced mass cosmetics brand. Most recently, L’Oréal Paris launched Bare Naturale foundation and this month is launching Age Perfect foundation.
Hamilton said she is proud to promote from within the company and to have a person as qualified as Talley working on the brand.
“Anne is well-known and well respected for her complete managerial skill set. She is a marketing expert in beauty and, beyond that, she is a great partner with sales, and has real financial expertise on the business, which will serve us well with our retailers. She has exceeding operational skills and is really a top-notch manager. To have all of those qualities is a rare aspect.”
