Bishop of Seventh is pairing its denim with ice.
The New York-based premium denim brand has teamed up with Japanese jeweler Taka Mizuno to create a limited edition collection of diamond jeans, sold exclusively at the Wynn resort in Las Vegas. The Iced Jeans, which are available for holiday selling, come with seven carats of five-point VSL clarity diamonds encrusted on the rear pockets. The diamonds are in a 14-karat white gold setting and are guaranteed not to fall out.
“We commissioned Taka Mizuno to come up with a unique setting that can withstand wear,” said Bishop’s co-creative director, Chachi Prasad. “It’s made so well there really is no way the diamonds can come out. I do recommend dry cleaning or hand washing these jeans though.”
Prasad said he also paid close attention to the fit of the jeans, which have a tailored cut and are made with high-end denim and finished interior seams with extra strong stitching.
The jeans are available at the Wynn for $18,000 per pair. Prasad said he has already received orders for the jeans, so he also created a style of lower-end diamond jeans for $5,000 a pair. Each pair sold is delivered in a Brinks armored truck.
“The Wynn asked us to come up with something special for holiday,” Prasad said. “It really doesn’t get more special than this.”
