● The Other Shop, founded by Matthew Murphy and Kirk Beattie, recently relocated from Kingly Street to Berwick Street, near Machine A and streetwear brands Palace and Supreme. Located at 3 Berwick Street, the 1,100-square-foot multibrand store — spanning two floors — carries a range of heritage brands and independent designers. The company said that the move occurred when it realized it was the last retailer on the block, which was filled with pubs and restaurants. The new store location, which is nearly triple its former size, allows the company to devote more space to installations and collaborations. Bestsellers include Lemaire, Stephan Schneider, Other, Peter Jensen and Aries. Exclusives include Pop Trading Co., a streetwear brand from Amsterdam; Japanese label Still by Hand; Story MFG, a London-based unisex brand, and Fanmail, a New York-based ethical jersey brand. The store will also launch a collaborative project with Studio Nicholson women’s wear. Prices range from 6 pounds ($7.50) for glassware from Atlas Works to 495 pounds ($621) for Lemaire coats.

● Selfridges is tapping into technology and created a tech hub in association with Bullboat, a distributor of consumer electronic products. Located on the lower ground floor of the store, the concept allows shoppers to digitally interact with items, creating a digitally enhanced customer in-store experience. The retailer has also designed a globally shoppable iOS app, with which shoppers can receive store and event information, a click-and-collect service and personalize their shopping experience through custom home pages and alerts on new collections and preferred brands. The app also allows the consumer to adjust settings to local currency and sync information like wish lists across their digital devices.
