PARIS — L’Oréal said it is swiftly deploying its Share & Care social program in 68 countries to reach its full objectives by the end of this year.
The initiative, launched in 2013, aims to guarantee best social practice in welfare, health, parenting and quality of life, at work, for all its employees.
“With the Share & Care Program, L’Oréal’s desire is to combine the globalization of economic performance with the globalization of social performance,” said Jean-Paul Agon, chairman and chief executive officer of L’Oréal. “This program symbolizes the universalization of L’Oréal’s social model and represents a real progress driver.”
The initiative includes introducing complementary health insurance schemes to reach a minimum reimbursement of 75 percent of expenses for main risks in countries where the social health system doesn’t offer such coverage. In 2012, 26 countries had launched the program, while in 2014 it was 58 countries.
