Italy’s thermal springs have been the health unguent for the country’s population since the Romans clad their terme with marble baths. Fast-forward a few centuries and Milan is finally ready to cure its workaholic inhabitants’ ills. Opened in November, the Terme Milano uses sulphur rich and de-ionized water pumped in from the Northern Italian region of Valle d’Aoste, near the French Alps. The Terme, which has a $58 admission daily charge, boasts six pools heated from 37-39 degrees Celsius, one outfitted with chromatherapy, and others equipped with blasting water jets and waterfalls aimed to target the neck and lower back. There are also four relaxation rooms, a cold pool to stimulate leg circulation and a treatment space that offers seven types of massage.
