MILAN — Italian beauty firm ICR-ITF has signed a fragrance licensing deal with Blufin to produce and distribute fragrances globally for the Blumarine and Blugirl brands.
“This deal represents a strategic addition for our portfolio of licenses,” said Gianguido Tarabini, chief executive officer of Blufin. “The choice of ICR-ITF signifies for us the ideal partner for synergic development of Blufin’s core business growth.”
The fragrance license is a first for the Blugirl brand, but Blumarine had a previous fragrance license with Schiapparelli, which expired in January.
Though executives didn’t disclose the length of the deal, the ICR-ITF-Blufin fragrance license is thought to be a multiyear pact, according to industry sources, with the first fragrance making its debut in spring 2009.
Blumarine and Blugirl are the newest additions to ICR-ITF’s growing portfolio of brands, which includes Dsquared, Roberto Cavalli and Gianfranco Ferré.
