Beauty Bulletin: François Nars’ Japan Photo Diary

Makeup artist François Nars headed to Japan in November to celebrate his brand’s 20th anniversary in a place that has provided him with continual inspiration. In between editor meetings, artist workshops and anniversary celebrations, Nars took the opportunity to indulge in his other passion: photography. “Japan’s culture is so rich in heritage and overflowing with authentic traditions that I can’t help getting lost in it whenever I go,” he says. “I am also attached to the beautiful landscape, with its unique architecture, ancient and new; magical gardens filled with exotic flowers, and forests full of bamboo trees. Every time I go, I discover something new.” Here, Nars shares his visual diary of the trip’s standout moments.
