After long resisting an online presence, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th has at last launched a website to accommodate the ever-increasing number of consumers who do their buying through the internet.
Many of Sak’s competitors launched online sites a decade or more earlier.
The URL address of Sak’s new site is Saksoff5th.com. The site is expected to eventually generate significant sales on a par with the chain’s seventy traditional retail outlets.
Robert Wallstrom, president of Off5th, said the new Webs site is “…a very important business. This is a significant milestone for Saks Off 5th. We want it to be the Saks of the off-price world, a true extension of the brand.”
