Reebok is collaborating with apparel brand Story Mfg. to reimagine its Club C and Beatnik sandal footwear silhouettes for the outdoors with an entirely vegan-constructed spin.
The alliance with Reebok is the first sneaker launch for Story Mfg. since the brand’s inception in 2013.
U.K.-based Story Mfg., known for its sustainable apparel and accessories, operates under the belief that aesthetics and consciousness doesn’t need a trade-off.
The brands say that the Club C and Beatnik paired “perfectly” with Story’s aesthetic due to the Club C’s “clean, classic” silhouette and the Beatnik’s signature minimal construction.
The upper of both shoes is constructed from an undyed, woven linen blend, while the shoes have an organic cotton ripstop lining, gummy soles and are finished off with a signature Story playful graphic in the embroidered, chunky peace sign on the lateral side of each shoe.
The Beatnik features a pared down upper strap designed to remove excess plastic and a back strap that was made to be entirely removable and 100 percent recyclable to allow the shoe to be transformed into a mule.
The Reebok x Story Mfg. collection will be available in unisex sizing starting at $120 beginning Feb. 4 on storymfg.com with the global release following on Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.
