“Elle is seen wearing a Balmain custom made ball gown, made of draped satin and a beaded animal-print molded bustier. The dress is a recreation from a Pierre Balmain Haute Couture FW 1953 gown “reversed champagne flute,” the brand told WWD of the “A Complete Unknown” actress’ look.

The original Couture gown was crafted in tulle and fur, whereas Fanning’s number is in satin featuring an animal print beaded bustier that can be seen within the brand’s latest pre-fall 2025 collection. The gown was accessorized with a signature belt, a detail also seen in Balmain’s pre-fall collection.

The Dior long black wool and silk dress was inspired by Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s fall 2024 rtw collection and features an embroidered pearl collar and neckline. The embroidery, crafted by the Chanakya Atelier, required 100 hours; the dress itself required 250 hours of work.

The Dior bustier dress was inspired by the brand’s cruise 2025 collection. The gown is in embroidered tulle with stitch embellishments and micro-beads and features a draped bustier and pleated skirt. Its embroidery by Chanakya Atelier required 750 hours; the dress required 350 hours of work.

“I’ve been a big fan of Nikki got a long time and we were so excited to work together for this huge moment. With this gown, we aimed for old Hollywood glamour where she can glow like a golden goddess on the red carpet,” Gurung told WWD of Glaser’s strapless silk satin column gown with overskirt and rosette detail at the hip.

“She will be a golden goddess, that’s for sure,” Glaser’s stylists Dani Charlton and Emma Rubenstein added of the gilded look.

The sleek column gown’s base was crafted from velvet in tones of black and rust, and was entirely hand-embroidered with intricate beads in crystals in a palette of browns, beige and rust. The brand told WWD that Brunson’s look boasted a touch of sophistication through its sweetheart neckline with delicate straps.

Actress Kathryn Hahn brought the runway to the red carpet in Altuzarra’s spring 2025 scuptural yet cozy ensemble. “Fashion like this didn’t just happen by chance — it was the result of one of the most legendary collaborations in fashion and film history. The dress was unworn.  It still had the original mode depose seal in place on the dress. It came from the wife of a very formidable old school studio head’s wife. I bought really fabulous Museum pieces from her,” Watnick told WWD.
