Nails at Oscar de la Renta were dubbed “half-moon around the world” by nail artist Miss Pop for Zoya, because “the collection is inspired by jet-setting travelers.” Miss Pop noted that the half-moon was the first nail art design ever created. “Oscar is a classic [brand], but this year the collection was a little extra sexy, so we wanted to bring a look that showed as much skin as the collection,” she said. — Ellen Thomas

Rita Remark for Essie designed a negative space manicure using Essie’s light pink Mademoiselle polish as a base, accented by a diagonal stripe — one on each hand — in Blanc, a bright white shade. “It was reminiscent of a sail,” Remark said of the stripe. — Ellen Thomas
Nails — on men and women — were painted in a neutral shade, with a darker color — JinSoon Risque — on the toes. The idea was for diversity to be represented, Choi said, so Gurung cast 35 models from 35 different countries.
