Chloe Gosselin spends a lot of time enjoying the scenery of the Nevada desert while riding her horse. This season it was the unusual rock formations and swirls of color in the Valley of Fire that inspired her color palette: muted tans, pinks and purples, save for a bright red and turquoise group. Those reference the colors of the Rainbow Mountains in China, seen here on the new Calico sandal (left) and classic Bryonia style. — R.R.

Eddie Borgo’s newest collection explores the designer’s fascination with symbols associated with predicting the future, such as crystals, the sun and moon. These became crescent-shaped charms, faceted new chain links and Borgo’s “antispike,” a cabochon rock crystal stud, as seen on this headband. — R.R.

  • Alexis Bittar and Bradley Acc

Alexis Bittar doesn’t do typical jewelry presentations. Following last season’s S&M-themed fun house, the designer partnered with painter Theodore Bradley on an in-store event featuring the artist’s designs, as painted on the walls, store windows — and a nearly nude model. The bright paint colors were the perfect compliment to Bittar’s new Lucite-driven collection done in colorful splotches meant to replicate paint splatters. — L.M.

For spring, Zana Bayne tapped into her sweeter side. Yes, there was still plenty of the designer’s signature leather, but now done in feminine petal motifs, seen in cuffs, bracelets and knee-high gladiator sandals — Bayne’s first foray into footwear. Other highlights included a bias-cut, lattice-work swing dress and wide-brim leather hats with oversize grommet detailing. — L.M.

  • Alison Lou Presentation

For spring, Alison Chemla of Alison Lou moved beyond the cheeky emoticons that have spawned a slew of imitators — and it was a welcome change. Appropriately presenting in a florist’s shop, the designer introduced a bevy of sweet 14-karat gold, diamond and enamel daisy baubles as well as one-of-a-kind pieces sure to attract a more sophisticated customer, such as a yellow sapphire stunner. — A.D.

  • Hayward Acc preview

Marin Hopper’s Hayward collection was shown in her newly opened Hayward House, which sells not only her bags but also a curated collection of art, photos and objets d’art. The current offering focused on objects from the Paul Aubuck collection, such as brass hands and feet, as well as Aubuck descendent Carl’s photo collages of his 1975 motorcycle trip across the U.S. This influenced Hopper’s new interpretation of her “H” hardware into an elongated Art Deco-esque shape. She also launched a new hobo shape with a braided handle “leash.” — R.R.

  • Edie Parker Presentation

Brett Heyman’s NYFW presentation for Edie Parker is becoming the feel-good “family basement party” vibe of the accessories circuit. This season, seeing no reason for summer to end, her collection of cheerful Lucite-based bags channeled the Goddess of the Ocean Yemaya. To that end, mermaids, anchors, waves and all things seaworthy marked this collection. — R.R.

  • BROTHER VELLIES SS16 PRESENTATION

Aurora James of Brother Vellies is hot on everyone’s radar since being announced as a finalist for this year’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Competition and she held her first NYFW presentation Thursday. Her line of shoes and a handful of handbags are made in Africa by native artisans from animal by-products. While some of the designs are not groundbreaking, her approach and aesthetic are novel. — R.R.

  • Anndra Neen Accessories

Anndra Neen sisters Phoebe and Annette Stephens spent their summer on a houseboat on Dal Lake in Kashmir, which influenced their latest collection. An elaborate breastplate necklace with quartz stones resembling the glaciers in the background came from the design of the boat. — R.R.

  • Jennifer Fisher Presentation

Jennifer Fisher upped the ante on the typical New York jewelry presentation with her Lucite hydraulically operated display featuring her new chain-motif jewelry. While aspects of both seemed derivative of the work of certain Parisian designers of late, the overall effect wowed her adoring fans. — R.R.

  • JILL HABER PRESENTATION

Paula Mendoza embraced color this season. The costume jeweler incorporated pink, green and blue enamel into a stand-out pair of chandelier earrings as well as a ring and collar. Black enamel was interspersed throughout the collection and looked particularly fetching when paired with raw emeralds. Image Credit: Stephen Sullivan/WWD

Nathalie Trad stayed true to her architectural, geometric aesthetic while introducing a subtle new motif to her line of clutches for spring. The designer was inspired by Art Deco design, specifically The Raleigh Miami Beach hotel and its ornately shaped swimming pool, outlined in black tile. Trad interpreted this by adorning her classic mother of pearl bags with patterns in striking black tab shell. — A.D.

Arden Wohl’s shoes can stop traffic — literally. Rather than host a traditional presentation for her Cri de Coeur line of vegan shoes, Wohl held a “disruptive” display where viewers, invited or not, crowded around a Midtown West sidewalk to see the street-front window filled with midshaft boots and quirky flats inspired by French films. — L.M.
