Several tulle panels with parametric petal arrays were hand-stitched onto a nude-illusion tulle base, creating van Herpen’s ‘Foliage’ dress.
Black silicone was hand-cast using syringes into vacuum-formed moulds.
The entire making of the ‘Wilderness Embodied’ dress was performed in an enclosed laboratory chamber to avoid any inclusion of particles or dust during the silicone curing process.
