Jeweler De Grisogono unveiled its “Creation I,” a necklace featuring a 163.41-carat D-Color Type IIA diamond of Flawless clarity. The necklace will be sold at Christie’s in Geneva on Nov. 14.
The original rough diamond was 404.20-carats and named “4 de Fevereiro.”

GIA graded the resulting 163.41-carat stone as a D-Color and Flawless.
De Grisogono created a necklace with 5,949 brilliant-cut emeralds and weighing 38.84 carats to frame the diamond.
The diamond can be detached thanks to a mechanism developed specifically to allow the owner to easily remove the stone as well as offering maximum security.
Once the necklace has an owner, De Grisogono will offer to work closely with them to create other designs, such as a cuff, tiara or brooch featuring the diamond.
