"Gloves are a normal thing, I used to wear them before. I have to carry a lot of heavy stuff and I need to protect my hands. The mask is a new addition. It's mostly for the costumers' comfort. I must say they look funny when worn together." — Julia, who works in Paul's Boutique vintage store in Prezlauer Berg

"We reopened our barber shop last week. Our costumers have to wear masks, too, so we can't do beards yet, but after the quarantine, the haircut situation is out of control and we have a lot of work.” — Marcelo

"We are both designers and we took the mask thing quite seriously. Which kind of mask makes the most sense? How many layers should it have? What textile should be used for maximum safety, but also that it's possible to wash it hot and disinfect.…In the end, we have been sewing them on our own. Many masks people are wearing now are perhaps a bit too ornamental, but that's normal when such a thing starts. I also always liked the aesthetic of masks, when seeing them before on the streets mainly worn by Asian people. We are working with a design museum in Dresden on an exhibition that shall show masks in a wider cultural and historical context. So we are kind of researching, wearing it.” — Ania Rosinke and Maciej Chmara, Chmara Rosinke
