This is the mood board for Baja East’s collaboration with the Minions. The spring 2017 collection will make its debut in the brand’s fashion show on Sept. 9 at New York Fashion Week. As part of the see-now-buy-now movement, pieces will be available to consumers right after the show.
Ruthie Davis married a retro jogger to a five-inch wedge in honor of the Minions, the little yellow workers in blue overalls from the popular animated movies. One of three styles from the spring 2017 collaboration, the sneaker heel will launch at retail in October at Fred Segal and on the designer’s Web site.
Ruthie Davis designed a stiletto with Swarovski crystals cascading down the heel over a clean, modern portrait of a one-eyed Minion.
Ruthie Davis covered a Sixties-inspired Lucite heel in a mini Minions print. The collection is priced between $995 and $1,400.
